Needle Punch Watering Can

This is my newest project of the week.

I punched during my lunch hours on days of bad weather, (we had a nasty storm this week!) and I join my mom to watch Idol, Dancing With the Stars, Grey's Anatomy and October Road. It's soooo easy to punch while watching TV, and I feel like I'm getting something accomplished!

I LOVE Lavender, and I sewed a little pouch, and tucked it under my finished piece. It smells so wonderful. To hide the weaver's cloth, I leaned how to make my own cording with DMC floss, and added some black piping around the finished piece.

I chose the paint colors to compliment the flowers in the watering can, so I painted and distressed the lid black, and over the black on the bottom I crackled JO SONYA poppy. I love the results.

On the inside, I decoupaged some calico black and cream fabric, with a coating of varnish. It adds strength to the box, and it's easy to wipe clean. It's already listed on eBay.
