Raggedy Friends

“To the world you may be just one person,
but to one person you may be the world.”
~Brandi Snyder

Much of the vitality in a friendship lies in the honouring of differences,
not simply in the enjoyment of similarities.”

“One measure of friendship consists not in the number of things friends can discuss,
but in the number of things they need no longer mention.”

"true friendship isn't about being there when it's convenient;
it's about being there when it's not.”

Taking a moment to share just a few of my new friends!

Can anyone tell me why I have fuzziness in the
lower right corner of my photos, and is it repairable?
Always something!

My new Singer Featherweight 221

I arrived home one day last week to find this case on the floor.
My boyfriend said "It's for you from John".
He heard that my machine went in for repair,
and I was shopping for an inexpensive machine
to use for my mixed media/journal projects.

I understand his wife passed away in 2003.
I can picture her smiling now, as the machine
has obviously been stored somewhere "musty".
I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the case.
It's darling!
I will cherish this vintage beauty.

I set it up today for the first time.
The instructions in the booklet were easy to follow.
It sews like a charm.
The bulb quickly got very hot (which makes me
wonder if the right type is in it).

I decided to google this machine to learn more about it.
One thing is for sure,
they don't make sewing machines like they used to.
This is one well-built machine.
I'm thanking my lucky stars~!
Thank you John!
You are a sweetheart.

Another Angel Painting

Lately I have been having a hard time focusing on creating.
I can't concentrate if I have too many things to do.

So today I decided to chill out...
I put a pot roast in the crock pot,
and cleaned out my closet, and drawers.
I needed to purge, and it took a while.
By the time I was done,
I really felt like creating....

I was in the mood to paint an angel...
From the beginning, I just worked without thinking about it.
I grabbed random colors,
pulled a page out of my music sheet book,
and voila!
Kind of got my juices flowing....
maybe tomorrow I'll give it another shot!
