Rainbow, Vistas, Sunset and a wedding!

My vacation started with this beautiful rainbow!
We headed to Bar Harbor for a couple nights of camping,
but first we spent a night in Searsport,
with great friends.

Spectacular view from the top of Cadillac Mountain.

This sunset on our first night indicated
beautiful weather for the following day.
This was our view from our campsite...
well you had to squint between the trees,
but you could see the water for sure.
I'm happy to say I heard my favorite sound,
the cry of the loons.....

Bar Harbor was a busy spot on the water.
Notice the shuttle boat lifted on the side
of the cruise vessel.

Our trip was short so that we could be home
in time....

for the wedding we all couldn't wait for!

It was like a fairy tale....

Warm sunshine, big smiles....and bubbles!

The bride and groom took our breath away
with their first dance!

To have and to hold from this day forward...
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Arnold
This is only the beginning!

Shelves ~ a good thing!

Summer has flown by, and I have so much more to do!
This summer was packed with family gatherings of sorts,
showers, weddings, birthdays all sprinkled through the weeks.
Add a farmers porch, revamping the garden and yard sales.
Top it off with gorgeous weather, online classes,
and that left little time to get down and really create.

So in-between all my summer distractions,
I decided to re-organize my studio.
Julie Prichard shared a photo of her shelves after
an inquiry in her online class.
That's when I had one of those "Aha" moments.

It just made sense to have all my tools, paints and mediums
within arms reach to keep me in a creating "zone".

I took down my large bullentin board, and down-sized to a
smaller version for my inspiration board.

I headed to Lowes, and this one guy was extremely helpfull
in pointing me in the right direction for these narrow
boards, and the correct wall screws.

My new shelves are only 3-1/2" wide, spaced 8" apart.
I love them!

I also love my new ceramic pots (sets of 3)
nestled on a matching tray. I found 2 of them at a
yard sale, right before my new shelves idea,
and they are perfect to store my watercolor tubes,
graphite pencils, paper stumps and markers.

I reorganized my existing shelves, by removing
everything, dusting and putting things back neatly.

Well, I just wanted to explain why I haven't been blogging.
I have a week's vacation coming up next week, and I plan
on heading to Bar Harbor Maine for a little camping.
First time this year!

Then the weather will turn more brisk, fall will be in the
air and I will be ready to create with a vengence!
I am sooooooooooo ready I could explode!
